Issue Description: When a user downloads the Blackboard Launcher 1.6.1 using Internet Explorer, they may be warned with a message saying that: "The signature of this program is corrupt or invalid" Microsoft released a cumulative security update that deprecated support of SHA1 code signing certificate. Therefore any programs signed with SHA1 certificate after January 1st, 2016 will be flagged as an invalid signature. Our Launcher certificate is signed with sha1

Steps to Replicate: Download the Collaborate Launcher 1.6.1 from the Internet Explorer 11 or Edge. Once the file is downloaded the message may appear depending if the Microsoft update is installed.

Know Issue Symptoms

When a user downloads the Blackboard Launcher from Internet Explorer, they may be warned with a message saying that: "The signature of this program is corrupt or invalid"

Affected Platforms

Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge

Cause: Microsoft released a cumulative security update that deprecated support for SHA1 code signing certificate. Therefore any programs signed with SHA1 certificate after January 1st, 2016 will be flagged as an invalid signature.

Our Launcher certificate is signed with sha1

Resolution/Workaround: only the browsers from Microsoft black SHA1 Code signing certificates now. Chrome and Firefox still accepts SHA1 Certificate. So you can get around this problem by downloading with Chrome or Firefox browsers. Other workaround is uninstall this KB3140745 update.
