Fax: Logging into FaxFinder and Sending a Fax

Logging into FaxFinder:

  1. To use the FaxFinder fax server, you will need a username and password. Your username is your first name and the first three letters of your last name (no spaces between names).
  2. Example: William Smith = WilliamSmi
  3. If this is your first time to login, retrieve your password by clicking on Forgot Password? The password will be sent to your Athens Sate University e-mail address. 
  4. Log into the FaxFinder at https://fax.athens.edu

  5. Enter the password emailed to you or if you know your password enter it in the password field.
  6. If you are using the password you received in an email, you will need to change your password by clicking on USER, then enter a new password in the password field. Click save at the bottom or your changes will not be saved.

Sending a Fax:    

  1. Log into the FaxFinder at https://fax.athens.edu
  2. Click on Send Fax and complete the required fields in the Recipient Information Box.

  3. To send faxes on campus or local faxes, enter 10-digit telephone number. If sending long distance fax, you will need to first enter 1 followed by the 10-digit telephone number.
  4. If you wish to receive confirmation that your fax was sent, look under Options, change the Send a Receipt to “Always” and a confirmation email will be sent to your Athens.edu  email box.fax5.PNG

  5. After all, required fields have been completed, click Send Fax in bottom right corner of    the of the dialog page.
